Computer Science Initiatives in Nepal (CSIN) is a community of students passionate about Computer Science who are determined to transform the ways of learning and implementing CS in Nepal.

Kathmandu

Uunchai (उँचाई) is a six-week virtual project-based learning summer program organized by the FountED Foundation. Throughout the six weeks, selected students will work on their projects under the guidance of their assigned mentors.Uunchai offers different domains to work on: Natural Sciences, Engineering, Economics, Humanities, CS and so on. During the six weeks, I will be working on the CS domain where I with my team, Bhanu, will fine-tune GPT 4/3.5 with collected stories. Bhanu is an Al-powered platform designed to generate Nepali folk stories from user prompts, preserving and promoting Nepal's rich cultural heritage.

Nepal Creative Tech (NCT) is a Software as a Service (SAAS) company that has been delivering web and mobile development services across various sectors since 2010. During my time at NCT, I developed the website for Daddy's Kitchen, conveniently allowing over 5,000 users to order food effectively and smoothly. I am currently working on Menumakchha, a platform where users can find the menus of all the restaurants in Nepal in one place. I also created the website for NCT, including a content management system (CMS) for easy updates.

The ICT Club of KMGSS is a youth organization dedicated to fostering technical education. As a Board of Directors member and Social Media Manager for the ICT Club of KMGSS, I have organized workshops and sessions, including a Robotics Workshop and discussions on web development. These initiatives have expanded students’ interests and supported their personal growth by providing hands-on learning experiences and opportunities to explore new technologies. I have also organized an intra-school Computer Science Education, explaining the core workings of computers and introducing quantum computing. Extending this initiative to four remote schools, I taught students about computer ethics, cybersecurity, AI, and programming.
