As the founder of Unqbe, I help leaders build the organizations they dream of—through a stronger leadership team, supportive culture, and effective organizational design. I have over 25 years of experience in the field of organizational development, spanning industries, academia, and consulting. I am passionate about the future of work, organizations, and leadership, and how to foster agility and innovation in a rapidly changing world.Curious about the work I do? Glance through my newsletter "Eyeing the Future" (100k+ subscribers) or watch my podcast "The Future of Work Show" on LinkedIn.I am also a writer, educator, and board member on various platforms related to my domain expertise. I have authored a book on the invisible rules of organizational life, co-authored multiple publications on the complexity and change in professional service teams, and contributed to several media outlets on topics such as the future of work, founders' dilemmas, and talent management. I host a weekly LinkedIn Live session on different aspects of the future of work, and serve on the boards of IIM Jammu, Villgro Innovations, Shivalik Small Finance Bank, and SCMHRD. I am a PhD in Management from UCLA, a Global Fellow in Talent Management from Wharton, and have been an adjunct professor at MDI. I do believe in lifelong learning :) And commit to my own learning and growth. My special skill (I think) is connecting the dots I see in different worlds (leaders, frontline employees, academia, thought-leaders in different fields and more), in my own personal way. I love the work I do. My joy comes from finding new solutions to problems (organisational of course) that work. I believe mutual trust and respect is foundational. So I seek clients who value what I can do. I in turn commit to making them hugely successful.

PhdUcla Anderson School Of Management 2004 - Nov 2010Los Angeles, Ca, UsMy doctoral work focused on understanding processes that allow organizations to work through both incremental and organizational change. Watch me discuss it at http://www.anderson.ucla.edu/documents/areas/adm/web/vid_SLal.html1.Change at Tata Steel: studied the processes of transformation that allow for a synergy between top-down change directives and bottom-up large scale participation in change. 2. Private Narratives, Public Rhetoric and the Politics of Change: studied the processes behind resistance to change. I find that private apprehensions of the motives of change leaders can only rarely be discussed in public, therefore the stated rhetoric of resistance, publicly focuses on the content of change even as behind the scenes alliances work to prevent change. 3. In search of change- planned and emergent: studies the implications of the complexity sciences for organizational change. Rather surprisingly I find that organizations need to "plan" for structures that enable the creation of continuous adaptive change. -
