Hi, I’m Shalini. Honestly, I never thought of myself as “creative.” Sure, people called me the creative one in school and college, but I assumed they were just being nice. Looking back now, I guess creativity has always been there—whether it was crafting school projects, putting together stage performances, or obsessively making mood boards just because it felt right.Things became real for me when I secured an All-India Rank of 147 in NIFT. It wasn’t a smooth journey—I was battling serious health issues and hadn’t even been able to attend most of the classes. But somehow, I made it. That was the first time I thought, Maybe I’m actually good at this.Life had other plans, though. I had to leave NIFT after a year because of continued health problems. It was frustrating, but I didn’t want to stop. I decided to take a leap and co-create something of my own, and that’s where I got my first real taste of building something from scratch—working on designs, figuring out branding, and learning how to deal with everything that comes with running a business.Eventually, I shifted gears and joined Amity University to study Journalism and Mass Communication with a minor in Fashion & Design. It was here that I really found my rhythm. I picked up new skills, explored storytelling, and earned the “Best Student of the Year” title along the way. From there, things started to snowball.Since 2018, I’ve been working across industries, diving into everything from digital campaigns and talent scouting to hosting shows and managing productions. There’s been a lot of trial and error—pitching ideas, negotiating with vendors, managing last-minute chaos on set—but those experiences have taught me to roll with the punches.I’ve worked with over 100 brands, led campaigns, produced content, and managed events that bring all kinds of creative chaos to life. What I’ve learned is that there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. Every project, every team, every challenge is different, and that’s what keeps things interesting.What I enjoy most is the mix of it all—working with people, brainstorming fresh ideas, and turning abstract concepts into something tangible. Fashion, music, art, and drama have always been my happy places, and somehow, they’ve all found their way into my work.At the end of the day, I’m someone who loves building stories—whether it’s for a brand, an event, or a campaign.
