Hello! My name is Shalini Nayan and I am a full-stack developer. I have a passion for working in web application development as a full-stack remote developer. Before transitioning into software development I worked at a sports event company for more than 10 years. The type of work was different than development, but I also learned several of the skills I now use every day as a developer: problem-solving, effective communication, multi-tasking, and more. I now bring the same kind of energy to all of my work. My experience of being a sports person also taught me that constant practice is key to growth and I apply this every day when I learn to code. I also learned in this experience to resolve conflicts in a peaceful manner which helped me increase my teamwork skills. My career as a program coordinator taught me discipline and how to complete a course, work hard, and never give up. I have been using Zoom nearly every day for the last 7 months as I pair programs with software developers from all over the world, and I had loved a chance to contribute to the team. I have spent 1,000+ hours mastering my fundamentals through collaboration.
