In addition to the responsibilities of my previous role, my new responsibilities include oversight of Planning Division staff, developing and writing regulations for zoning and subdivisions, coordinating the Village's Economic Development Program, preparing our department's preliminary budget, and creating and administering a local Business Assistance Grant Program in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, with special attention given to sectors and industries most affected by government mandates.

I serve as the economic development point person for the Village. I regularly assist my Director with incentive review, coordinate the Village's BR+E program, analyze pro forma, and review financing and incentive opportunities. Other responsibilities of mine include writing newsletter articles, updating the Village's website, and encouraging business attraction efforts. As the staff liaison to the Planning & Zoning Commission, it is my responsibility to review zoning requests, write staff reports, and make presentations to elected and appointed officials. It is my mission to provide leading edge customer service and add value throughout the entitlements process. I am involved with several community organizations all with the common goal of making Mount Prospect the best version of itself.

Brookfield, Illinois

I utilized GIS to create property advertisement packages for available properties in the village. It was my responsibility to then coordinate and manage tours with local developers looking for redevelopment opportunities in Chicagoland. I served as the defacto planner while the Village was without a planner on staff. As such, I completed a corridor study of the village's main thoroughfare, executed grant applications, created a blighted properties database, reviewed zoning requests, and wrote staff reports.

Lawrence County, Pennsylvania

Reviewed subdivision and land development proposals for code compliance in the county's 27 municipalities. I presented reviews at monthly Planning Commission meetings and served as the department's point of contact with the general public and development community. I wrote zoning ordinances and text amendments, oversaw the creation of long-range planning documents, and completed a grant project securing $10,000 for the county.
