• Ensure hotel expenses are minimized obtaining the most competitive prices for goods and services • Determine potential vendors to be solicited for quotes, bids, and requests for proposals• Review prices, quotes and availability of materials and/or services, determine compliance to specifications, and make purchase recommendations to the management• Stock materials and supplies for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels that will ensure availability of items when requested• Ensure availability of all required materials in stock for all departments accordingly• Ensure materials delivered on time• Issue materials to all departments for the hotel day-to-day operation needs as required to ensure all orders are adequately covered• Ensure proper storage of all inventory items / materials and issued F.I.F.O (First In First Out) rotation to minimize wastage and spoilage• Keep inventories as low as possible to properly supply the operation’s need and maximize inventory turnover and space utilization• Carry out monthly stock reconciliation and inventory of storeroom equipment• Maintain appropriate records and inventory of all stocked materials and general consumptions• Prepare Expiry Items , Savings, Slow Moving Items Reports and Daily Stock Replacement Lists• Report to Materials Management of any unusual or remarkable costs of Departments consumption of inventory and non-inventory items and to recommend practices to reduce such costs, including alternative sources for products• Assisting in creation and maintenance of certain computer data, such as:Inventory items par-stocks, re-order points, standard requisition titles, purchase list, and purchase orders, units of measure and inventory levels for all items held in inventory.• Conduct interviews as required by the Materials Management with supplier’s representatives to obtain, specifications and quotations on any items required and place orders accordingly
