Feasibility Study for the Establishment of Treatment Storage and Disposal Facility (TSDF) for Ship Recycling Industry and Others in Chattogrami) Know if the proposed TSDF project is feasible considering its importance and its impacts on the environment and on the economy;ii) Prepare a full-scale Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) report for the proposed TSDF;iii) Conduct a Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) study for the proposed TSDF;iv) Carryout a detailed Economic and Financial Analysis of the proposed TSDF andv) Develop a Business Plan for TSDF operation.

I have been performing the following tasks for the project:1. Analyzing legitimate conditions to install and operate FCT ( relevant -authorities, conditions precedent for approval, ownership of FCT and operator /service provider of FCT, environmental assessment, etc.)2. Location selection/Survey of FCT-Possible location to install FCT (Channel, Island, Water Depth, Met ocean Conditions, Environment)3. Country's container handling demand and supply assessment from a Macro perspective.-Cost comparison between different mode of cargo transportation (Road, Rail, and water)

5. Project manager for the project: “Agriculture and Agriculture Machinery Market in Bangladesh”. Implementing for- Japan External Trade Organization, (JETRO).Study description: The study reported on the ‘Agriculture and Agricultural Machinery Market scenario in Bangladesh’. We studied about agriculture machinery market size, major market player, distribution channel, total number of machineries by category in use, major crops produced in Bangladesh, total cropping area of Bangladesh and trading pattern of crops. The specific tasks of the project were to design the study, data checking, coordinate data collection process and report writing.6. Project manager of the study on “Bangladesh business environment survey (Particularly on RMG, textile industry and top business conglomerate in Bangladesh)”.Study description: The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI) engaged PricewaterhouseCoopers Co., Ltd. (PwC Japan) to conduct a research on the business climate in Bangladesh under the program of the METI’s inbound and outbound economic growth policy making. We reported on conglomerates, NGOs and companies operated in Bangladesh. Main objective of the study was to know overview of businesses environment for each category, their interest in forming joint venture with Japanese companies, target market and expectations from Japanese companies as a partner. My responsibilities of the study were to manage and coordinate the study efficiently, Data checking and analysis, team supervision and ensuring quality of the study.

1. Team leader of “Scoping study for OXFAM’s Enterprise Development Program”.Study description: An analytical policy paper on agribusiness MSMEs in Bangladesh, identifying potential MSMEs and defining possible programmatic interventions. Under this study we collected data about 200 MSMEs from 14 district of Bangladesh. We analyzed the data and identified 40 potential enterprise for making partnership and technology support so that they can grow. The specific tasks of the project were to lead total project team, preparing field team and training, coordinate data collection process and data checking.2. Project manager of periodic survey of predetermined households under different subsectors aimed to observing the trajectory of changes in beneficiary households’ income, profitability and practices (Validation survey of iDE Bangladesh).Study description: The project surveyed a sample of their beneficiaries on the basis of a set of indicators in order to observe the trajectory of changes in households’ income, profitability and practices across two subsectors namely meat and fodder. The specific tasks of the project were preparing field team, training, coordinate data collection process, data checking and preparing final data base.

Project manager of “Pilot study, FGR, Household Survey and test marketing research for developing and testing a new nutrition product of renowned Japanese food manufacturing company in Bangladesh”.Study description: Household survey on food and nutritional needs of lactating mothers and children in 3 district of Bangladesh. The project was conduct in four stage. At the very beginning we did pilot study for the product. After getting positive result from the study we did focus group research (FGR) for the product. In the FGR we tasted the product in target group of people and collected their response regarding taste, color, texture, packaging etc. Also we did household survey and test marketing research for the product. In addition two grassroots sales models were tested. The specific tasks of the project were to lead project team, preparing field team and training, coordinate data collection process and data checking.4. Project manager of the study “Total lifestyle survey to understand income level, spending pattern, saving pattern and buying behavior of BOP, MOP & TOP households of Bangladesh”.Study description: The study was conducted to understand the saving and expenditure pattern of BOP, MOP & TOP families of Bangladesh. The study included daily activities of household’s members, choices, inheritance, property, possession of goods, modes of entertainment, goals, plans and dreams of the respondents. Under this study we collected data from top 7 districts of Bangladesh. The study was conducted for JETRO.

16. Team leader of the study “Poultry, Livestock and Fish Feed Production and Distribution System in Bangladesh”.Study description: The study reported on poultry, livestock and fish feed production across the country and also the distribution systems used. More than 80 producers were included in the survey.17. Field coordinator of “feasibility study on supermarket business in Bangladesh”.Study description: The study was on prospect and possibility of Japanese investment in Bangladeshi superstore business and covers many aspects of consumers and the market. The study also covers the potential for Japanese investment in setting up food shops in superstores. The field survey of consumers was carried out across 3 districts of Bangladesh (Dhaka, Chittagong and Bogra). Buying behavior was also observed at superstores. The study was conducted for SHISHIKURA Ltd. (Japan).18. Project formulation survey expert for the child nutrition service improvement project of Euglena Co., LTD (Japan) and Mitsubishi Research Institute (MRI) (funded by JICA).Study description: The purpose of the study was to measure the intervention effect of introducing high nutrient food for child and lactating mothers to prevent malnutrition. We identified the current status and needs for maternal and child health in Bangladesh and current status of maternal and child health related projects in Bangladesh. In addition we identified the potential number of customers, and identify an optimal price, design and method for distribution of Euglena products. We also identified specific counterparties that could cooperate with the ODA model we developed. My responsibilities of the study were to cooperate with Euglena and MRI to understand their requirement and coordinate data collection process of the study.
