I have 14 years of medical device R&D experience in designing, developing and innovating across orthopedic, neuro, spine and GI specialties. As a technical leader, I have launched electro-mechanical and mechanical medical devices globally, working with FDA and other regulatory agencies, hold several design patents and research publications with leading surgical centers around the world. I have a Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering from IIT Kanpur (Biomechanics and Mathematical Modeling majors), with a University Gold Medal, in collaboration with ETH Zurich. I am currently at Stryker Orthopedics R&D, setting technical direction and driving new product development in joint arthroplasty, as part of globally dispersed engineering teams. I am separately engaged in development of new platforms in medical image analysis, computer vision and surgical planning. I have academic engagements (lectures, publications, mentoring) in the fields of medical device design, AI computer vision, simulations and additive manufacturing.
