Nidhi Prayas Grant of 10 lakhs for the product prototype development under the Department of Science and Technology. - The program helped me develop the final prototype of the integrated platform for telerehabilitation in stroke including the AI-enabled exercise recognition and tracking device, sensor glove for monitoring improvements in finger opening and closing, integrated App to get instant details, including periodic improvements and insights that help the clinician to fine-tune the treatment plan accordingly. - Trained the device-embedded Deep Learning model to recognize and count exercises such as shoulder shrugging, head touch, hand raise, etc accurately. - Designed and fabricated the wearable watch and finger glove with final features. - The mobile App has been developed in Flutter and integrated all the features. - The web dashboard for clinicians with detailed analytics and insights into the patients’ improvements is under development.

Fellowship and Grant from BIRAC for the development and innovation in medical devices under the thematic area "Ageing and Health" with total funding of 14 lakhs for 18 months. - Successfully went through a well-programmed entrepreneurship program throughout the 18 months with mentorship and supervision from eminent people and institutions like SCTIMST, and TISS. - The 6-month long ‘Immersion and Ideation’ phase helped me to delve into the problems faced by the elderly in their daily life, geriatric patients, caretakers, healthcare providers, clinicians, and physiotherapists. - Visited geriatric centers, primary health centers, old age homes, care centers, Rehabilitation centers, mobile healthcare units, etc, conducted Surveys and interviews, and documented them to identify problems prevailing and develop technology solutions worth building. - Investigated the issues faced by clinicians and physiotherapists to monitor and manage stroke survivors doing physical rehabilitation and exercises at home during the pandemic and conducted surveys on existing solutions and their drawbacks. - Designed and Prototyped an AI-based wearable actigraphy device and integrated App to track, monitor, and manage the rehabilitation remotely. The device can accurately recognize various upper limb stroke exercises the patients do using a well-trained Deep learning algorithm and record details such as count, repetitions, time spent on individual exercises, everyday improvements, weekly improvements, etc. It will give detailed insights into the mobile app helping clinicians to access the patient’s engagement remotely and fine-tune the treatment plan.
