In 2017, while practicing healthcare law, I was looking for a way to be more creative. While scrolling on Facebook, I saw an interesting post from Mignon Francois a and decided to take a leap! Let me explain.I was thinking starting a personal styling business, "The Fashion Chase", but did not know where to start. I enrolled in and completed an entrepreneurship class called "THE ACADEMY powered by CORNER TO CORNER and it taught me the foundations of having a solid business foundation. After 2 years of volunteering with CORNER TO CORNER and launching The Fashion Chase, I quit practicing law and became the DIRECTOR of THE ACADEMY. Though The Academy, I helped almost 700 underestimated entrepreneurs plan, start and grow their small businesses and put millions of dollars back into the neighborhood economy. In 2022, I moved into the Executive Director role. As the ED, I set the strategic goals and community culture all the while allowing my staff to show up as their full selves.
