• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert regarding HIPAA compliance and best practices for customers in handling protected health information. • Help clients ensure they are compliant with relevant Federal and State laws, regulations, and policies. • Respond to all compliance concerns and requests from customers, prospects, partners, and employees. • Develop and maintain all HIPAA policy templates to comply with current federal compliance rules and regulations, including OCR’s guidance and website, USCDI website, and NIST guidelines, including, but not limited to, policies on: Information Blocking, Confidentiality of Substance Use Disorder Patient Records, Patient Privacy Rights, and Contingency Planning. • Develops monthly educational webinars for both clients and prospects to assist them in regulatory compliance. • Educate and update team on HIPAA policies and procedures serving as HIPAA Privacy Officer.• Work in conjunction with members of Client Engagement team to create HIPAA Privacy and Security awareness and training. • Conduct HIPAA Privacy Gap Assessments and Policy Gap Reviews for clients and partners. • Assists with maintaining and refining the customer onboarding process, including kick-off calls and initial training sessions.
