Global Billing system is as intranet site used by Descartes which helps to store customer information, service information, etc. It also helps to store prices and discounts associated for each services for a given customer.• Billing Engine – Billing engine is a backend process that takes care of billing the customers based on various parameters entered through Global Billing System. The billing engine is divided into five distinct components Initiator, Controller, Validator, Pre-processor and Processor.
