About Shana Kerlander

As CEO and Master at Mandelbaum House, I am proud to have worked successfully with many young adults over 19+ years as they experience our community, high standard of accommodation and pastoral care.
Supporting student residents at a pivotal time in their lives, providing them the opportunities to learn and grow in a safe, nurturing and welcoming environment, is at the heart of my role at Mandelbaum House, University of Sydney’s boutique residential college and best-kept secret. With extensive experience designing programs for young adults, my natural curiosity for creating meaningful experiences in a variety of previous roles in Australian and European settings, enables me to adjust my approach, adapt my communication style and work very effectively with all levels of management, different personalities, cultures and age groups.I am passionate about welcoming students to our college and ensuring it is not just a place of residence, but a home. Our relatively small size means we offer a unique experience and they appreciate this personal and relaxed environment. With strong, demonstrated skills in management and leadership, I have been responsible for many educational events including seminars, formal dinners and extended tours.
