In this role, I provided a variety of academic support services for underrepresented students in HEOP. I advised, supported, and coached students academically and personally. I worked primarily with first year students in assisting them in their adjustment to college through the development of transferable skills such as time management, study and test taking strategies, and problem-solving. Taught introductory courses, such as College Writing and Introduction to Literature, as well as upper level literature courses (i.e. African-American Literature). Designed each of these courses, following the college's guidelines, but choosing my own texts and assignments.
