My strength is Sales and marketing. My passion lies in being a marketing professional. I led the commercial team of Singer Sri Lanka Plc. and drove 10 billion businesses per annum with world-recognized brands such as Dell, Asus, MSI, and Huawei. My journey in sales and marketing is not just a profession, but a testament to my dedication and prowess in driving business growth and fostering enduring success.I commenced my higher education in 2017 at the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing and graduated from the Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing program in 2021. My commitment and determination made my dream come true and I graduated with a Master of Business Administration from Glyndwr University in Wrexham, Wales in 2022. I have learned so many things about sales and marketing, such as what marketing entails, how to market products effectively, what marketing strategies are, and more. Later, these learnings helped me create a network of over 400 dealer channels and maintain close relationships with computer dealers all island. These qualifications helped me to climb the corporate ladder and led to my position as Area Manager at Singer Sri Lanka PLC. But my thirst for knowledge never stopped. I considered pursuing international recognition for my career. As a result, I migrated to Canada and enrolled at Seneca Polytechnic to study International Business Management.I embarked on my professional journey in 2007, and for the past 16 years, I have had the privilege of working with several prestigious multinational conglomerate companies, including Johnkeels and the Singer Sri Lanka PLC subsidiary of Heyleys. Over the past decade, I have developed strong relationships with industry giants such as DELL, Asus, and HuaweiI was the vice-captain of the college 1st XI cricket team and won the college colors consecutively for 2 years for achieving the highest runs and taking the highest number of wickets as an individual in the Sri Lanka Schools League. Sport has played a significant role in shaping the person I am today. It has taught me a lot of lessons. Today, I can handle both losses and victories in the same way. Cricket is not an individual game. It has given me the ability to work as a team. There are 11 different people, ideas, and talents. What is important is, at the end of the day, how we combine all these differences and compete as one unit. Ultimately, whether in business or sports, it's the ability to work as a cohesive unit that leads to success, leveraging diverse talents and ideas to achieve common goals.
