Engage critically in discussions on neoliberalism and its effect on pedagogy and the U.S. naturalization process. Conduct literature reviews and annotate archives from California naturalization classrooms, citizenship test materials, and interviews with adults involved in the ESL educational setting. Organize codebook and research tags found in interview transcription by using qualitative coding methods. Emphasis on data reduction, codebook creation, and annotations.

The Student Advocate’s Office (SAO) is an executive, non-partisan office of the ASUC that offers free, confidential casework services and resources to any student(s) navigating issues with the University, including academic, conduct, financial aid, and grievance concerns. All support is centered around students and aims for an equity-based approach. Case trends inform office policy projects that push for more just campus policies and resources that prioritize and protect students’ rights and general welfare. The Conduct Division handles conduct issues for students accused of violating the Student Code of Conduct for actions including, but not limited to, alleged cheating, destruction of property, and assault.

The Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholars Association (RCSA) is dedicated to fostering a community for Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholarship recipients at the University of California, Berkeley. By hosting a diverse set of events, from alumni industry dinners to faculty game nights, RCSA provides around 900 scholars with numerous opportunities to connect with others and share vital resources. Membership is an included benefit of the scholarship, and scholars can extend their involvement by joining one of the nine committees: Equity and Inclusion focuses on diversifying campus organizations and reforming institutional processes to be more equitable; Liaison focuses on community development, engagement, and outreach to prospective high school and community college applicants.

Responsible for spreading awareness of the program through different platforms and recruiting students, holding office hours, and contacting campus organizations. Initiated UC TAG and FAFSA application workshops as personal projects by prepping materials, delivering presentations, and assisting Honors and non-Honors students in completing applications.

Reviewed surveillance videos, police radio audio, and body cam footage for evidence, transcribed audio verbatim to text, and annotated transcripts to emphasize evidence useful to case theory. Created and designed website for the firm and summarized areas of practice. Reviewed closed cases in order to scan and file them into the firm’s legal database.

Commissioned to create and design a senior destination map for the Class of 2020. Collaborated with school administration to create a visual representation of college, military, and workplace destinations for 300+ graduating students. Required extensive knowledge of graphic design styles and Adobe InDesign.
