My IT Career started, working as a Technician that worked on small projects. I have fulfilled many roles, I was in Projects & Installations, Support Roles consisted of:- Morning floor walks to make sure that all equipment was fully functional at Warehouse Distribution Centre.- Managing/Monitoring all IT equipment onsite & Service Desk Calls{ Melbro Wholesale (Pty) Ltd. & The Crazy Stores}- Installations consisted of:POS Ready Roll-Out, Desktop, Speed Point,Printers, Roll-Out& 4G Routers.- Set up IT equipment for User`s (On Site/Regional),Classic Wholesale & The Crazy Stores (South Africa, Namibia, Botswana)- Setting up Projectors for Conferences Meetings - Basic troubleshooting of issues relating to: VIOP phones, Desktops, Printers, Laptops, Mobiles Devices, Projectors, Fax Machines.- Run OS updates on both Mobile Devices & Tablets.- Replaced faulty equipment onsite & in stores, diagnosed issues pertaining to in store equipment.- Re-patched network points & made sure that the Network was up and running. (Dead/not working)- Logging calls with External Vendors.- Creating Distribution Lists.- Assisting with Infrastructure upgrades with VOIP phones was implemented.- Mailbox cleanups on Exchange (Archiving)- Micro Managing Projects for the onsite IT Manager//Project Manager- Managing the CCTV surveillance system & Upgrading//Exspanding number of Camera`s-Installing, Configuring, Maintaining & Troubleshooting of user workstations on company LAN -Format and Reload of user machines, ensuring all user data is backed up and secured before format -Ensuring correct software is loaded onto the user’s machine before delivery-Troubleshoot problems over phone/via remote desktop technologies -Company Server Infrastructure monitoring and proper escalation of alerts -Exchange & Active Directory administration, password & lockout resets -Follow-up on all unresolved calls, with feedback being provided back to client
