My goal is to inspire others to learn. In my 17 years of teaching, I have realized that the most impactful learning happens in early childhood. My experience as a University professor has provided the opportunity to develop a keen understanding of teaching and learning. I have developed the skills necessary to teach a variety of courses to a diverse pool of University students, including developing course content, activities, completing assessments and matching classroom activities to institutional learning outcomes. My primary goals are to encourage experiential learning and collaboration skills and to build on global awareness and responsibility. While teaching in a University setting, I earned my Ph.D. in Education, with an emphasis in Child Development. My minor was in Social and Emotional Development with a focus on creative play. As a mother of 3 young girls, I have intimate knowledge of the importance of encouraging the healthy Social and Emotional development of children, and to reach children through specific skills at a young age. I have also worked for the past 10 years with young children in various roles, ranging from summer school instructor, to classroom volunteer teacher. In addition to my academic career, I have professional experience in the field of Marketing Communications. I am well versed in the goals and objectives of Marketing teams.
