I am currently managing overall safety at the Houston Corporate Office for Atasca Energy Management ServicesI am responsible for implementing, coordinating and performing the overall safety and environmental support functions for all AEMS operations, including all construction projects and maintenance operations. I also perform all regulatory and client required safety monitoring, assessment, base line testing, program assurance and employee safety, health, first aid, and hazardous material training. I monitor and coordinate the environmental activities of AEMS and insures compliance with all applicable regulations and reporting requirements. Additionally I am responsible for providing technical direction and oversight over the daily operations with regard to all environmental and safety compliance. PRIMARY DUTIES• Oversee employee and contractor new hire safety orientations.• Conduct regular safety assessments of field projects including the safety performance of sub-contractors.• Coordinate and participate in the sub-contractor pre-qualification process.• Prepare the safety materials for bid and pre-bid packages.• Assist in the development, implementation and management of required written safety programs.• Participate in project safety meetings.• Represent the company in regulatory activities such as OSHA inspections• Participate in incident investigations utilizing root cause analysis techniques and lead investigations on critical incidents.• Perform audits of existing programs and make recommendations for enhancements.• Participate in Behavior-based safety processes.• Work with all levels of executive and field management and craft labor in the fostering of an injury and incident free environment. .
