Current Position:Operations TechnicianNova ChemicalsPast work experience:Process OperatorWest Coast Reduction Ltd.- Operation of boiler systems; 4840 kW natural gas fired packaged firetube and water tube boilers, zeolite softeners, deaerator, economizer, CBD tank, DCS panel, pumps, condensate tank, chemical additive tanks, water testing (sulfite, alkalinity, hardness, conductivity, pH, etc.), etc.- Operation of process: air scrubbers, evaporators, centrifuges, presses, oil polisher, hydrolyser, feather dryers, batch cooker, shaker screen, venturi, ID fans, augers, hammer mills, pre-breakers, strainers, wastewater management, chemical mixing tank, skimmers, bulk chemical storage, cyclones, cooling tower, various tanks and silos, etc.- Monitor equipment and process area: keep an eye on gauges and take readings to ensure optimal equipment operations, watch for spills and keep process areas clean, follow procedures for starting up equipment and shutting down equipment. Run process equipment from the panel (DCS) and adapt with product changes and quality changes. Taking initiative to ensure process runs smoothly and as efficiently as possible.
