I have been playing guitar for 20 years I have played piano for about the same I've played bass for 19 years but didn't own one until about 2010 . I am not a very accomplished drummer but when recording I can usually keep the beat going in sync.I have been singing since I was about four or maybe before that.I couldn't carry a tune at all but I took a few lessons on singing and breathing techniques took lessons in highschool and became a gifted singer.I am very largly self taught at every musicaql aspect of my life I taught myself how to write and how to record .I remember when I was a teen I had a keyboard with drum sounds on it I didn't have drums yet and there was no drum roll sound on it so I ran the keyboard through a slap back echo pedal I had that produced the right amount of delay so I could simulate a drum roll.I had a reel to reel tape recorder and learned how to make tape loops .I read a lot of books on song writing,recording I read so much material so I understood what I could do.I worked very hard to learn these things so I could record the best material I could come up with .I have played live before but never really as a payed musician that's what I really want to do .I grew up watching my Uncle make his living off of live performances and I wanted and still want to do that.I have sang karaoke at bars and a lot of people really loved my singing and stage presence when I am off stage in public or at home I am different but when I get on stage with a guitar in my hands I'm funny,outgoing,and I try my best to please my audience because I chalk it up to this: When people come to see live music or a movie or a play or a stand up comedy act they come there to have a good time to laugh,to enjoy themselves because things might not be going well at home or there job or whatever and that's my job,to take them away from their troubles or daily lives and give them three hours of a break .That's what I love about live music that's why I go.
