I started in the company as a 4th engineering officer and I am currently in the role of a 3rd engineering officer• Repairs and overhauls equipment onboard• Operates and maintains generator room• Operates various vessel machineries• Operates the ballast system and other liquid systems• Operates water maker and carry out the maintenance• Supervise the repairs and maintenance of vessel equipment• Keep daily log of ongoing engineering work• Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by the 2nd Engineer• To be familiar with all Company procedures, including the Safety Management System, applicable to his duties• Taking part in emergency and occupational onboard training such as, the use of self-contained breathing apparatus, firefighting, man overboard exercises, lifeboat launching, security drills and/or other training as applicable for the function• Timely reporting of all observed vessel operational issues to the Bridge and Chief Engineer• Maintaining Accommodation support system • Supervise the repairs and maintenance of vessel equipment• Maintaining hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems • Maintain all emergency equipment• Supervise the Engine room Ratings/crew during operations

Carried out my cadetship training on multiple vessels across the fleet under the supervision of the 2nd engineer. These vessels included salvage vessels, research vessels, ice breakers and cable laying vessels

I started my cadetship at this company after completing my 1st year of studies. I have worked with this company on a research vessel as well as being sent to another company to work on a container vessel.
