Identify, deploy and maintain best practice and appropriate project and programme management governance and systematic review cadence for projects and programmes in the Maintenance and Mechanical Engineering function and ensure all required and appropriate project management governance is adhered to. Accountable for managing continuous improvement projects leading to improved operational performance of Supply Chain, Operations and Maintenance. Provide CI and lean subject matter expertise and advice, ensuring the delivery of customer requirements and improving the sustainability of the business. Plan, develop and lead initiatives to up-skill staff on lean methodologies so that they may support CI programmes of work. Support the management team in delivering and standardising CI initiatives. Lead root cause analysis workshops and embed problem solving techniques within the business. Report CI savings and project progress to the CEO and COO on a monthly basis. Support management by providing relevant reports and KPI’s. Provide in depth knowledge of the business processes to the wider Lean group within the business. Support the Business with the implementation of 5S, Visual Management, Meeting Effectiveness, Gemba, Lean Service and Leader Standard Work. Ensure CI initiatives comply with all activities regulated by 9 separate Integrated Pollution Control licences issued by the EPA. Ensure projects adhere to our quality and energy policies and maintain ISO9001 and ISO50001 certification.

Monitored the EAM system and resolved any issues that affected operation. Actively worked with IT to continuously improve system operation. Produced relevant system reports to aid Asset Management and Maintenance delivery in day to day operations. Produce monthly KPI’s for the business unit. Provide maintenance delivery with maintenance cost data and machine failure reports. Analyse data by machine type and age to estimate future maintenance cost. Provide machine MTBF & MTTR data. Support Maintenance planners to produce job plans and preventative maintenance schedules for up to 6000 assets across 9 counties in the Republic of Ireland. Provide day to day support to all operations involved within the EAM system. Proactively participate in CI initiatives. Support other colleagues to obtain white, yellow and green belt accreditation. Prepare and raise work orders when necessary for corrective and preventative maintenance. Change job plans as design changes are implemented. Lead root cause analysis workshops with the wider maintenance teams and engineering to form viable solutions. Find alternate suppliers if parts are obsolete or unavailable. Liaise with suppliers and internal financial services to ensure payments are correct and resolve any issues that arise. Responsible for the business units Asset Care Programme, ensuring each machine is checked pre and post operation. Liaising with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure each machine is catered for. Liaise with external suppliers to ensure products are of good quality and delivered on time. Actively work with maintenance operations to ensure commonly used items are added to an Item Master, own and control Item Master. Ensure commonly used items are stocked. Provide day to day support to the temporary Locomotive production line, update production schedule and BOM when necessary. Liaise engineering design changes to the line. Established quality assurance protocols for the production line.

Working as a key member of the Asset Management team to deliver a high-quality maintenance management system, (Maximo Enterprise Asset Management). My main duties were training employees on the day to day running of the maintenance system, fixing errors and irregularities on the system as they arose. This required an understanding of all aspects of maintenance from management to craft, inventory and purchasing. Other duties included adding new items to an inventory list for stores, sourcing machine parts and following up high value work orders and confirming completion on our system. I was also involved in a large Locomotive Refurbishment Project where my duties involved helping to catalogue items to be added to a BOM. I also undertook weighing and measuring of Locomotives to help determine eligibility for upgrade.
