I am an experienced data leader and have led a multidisciplinary team of project managers, business analysts, developers (data engineers and designers), database administrators and consultants to successfully deliver reliable data and Business Intelligence (BI) managing the program, schedule and budgets. In all roles I built, shaped and managed the overall data architecture to ensure governance, security and reliability to help drive proactive data-driven decision making. This includes acquisition and maintenance of ISO 27001 (Information security, cybersecurity and privacy protection) at Intellync (Ab Agri).I have previously spearheaded substantial technical and non-technical modernization initiatives which included driving a cultural shift from waterfall to a hybrid agile methodology, using tools such as DevOps, and cloud adoption using Microsoft Azure resources to ensure the business is not only fit for purpose today but also fundamentally scalable to accommodate future business expansion and demands. This included the adoption of a medallion architecture underpinned by technologies such as Azure storage accounts setup as Azure Data Lake Gen2 to facilitate the supply of data to data scientists for deployment python code using libraries such as pandas. In achieving this I have engaged with various stakeholders such as internal legal representatives, architectural and security teams as well as experts at Microsoft.In addition, I have a substantial technical background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Qlik and SQL Development; I have also worked as a GIS Analyst, Data Manager, Business Analyst and IT Project Manager.
