I am currently part of the First Line Management (FLM) team at DHL, Reading Multi-User. This role encompasses a number of responsibilities and duties such as; management of internal warehouse and driving staff to ensure that KPIs are met according to business contracts, and liaising with customer facing teams, and contacts within these customers to assess reliability and performance. I also supported in the onboarding of two new clients to our site by meeting with customers and discussing contracts and logistics. On site, I also regularly complete health and safety walks and security checks to ensure that daily tasks and warehouse management is in line with DHL policy. In terms of working within my team, I work closely with all members of the FLM team, warehouse staff and drivers. This includes the Health and Safety Manager who I supported with their HSMS sign off as I had previous experience with this from other roles. I currently manage many investigations of any incidents and have trained other managers on completing these. Whilst working in this role, I have completed various courses on My Talent World to improve my knowledge. I have also completed the Transport Core Skills course (passed with merit) and am currently undertaking the First Choice Supervisory Academy course.
