Epic Architect: Orders, Bugsy, And Order Transmittal
As one of two Architect analysts on the Epic Orders Team, and the only Bugsy Architect, I identify issues and solve them by designing and implementing creative solutions. I lead a team of three Bugsy analysts through new hospital implementations of the Bugsy (Epic Infection Control) and Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) applications for a cutting edge and growing 18-hospital system. I am a leader in the design and implementation of order sets, reports, navigators, order transmittal, dashboards, system lists, rules, extensions, infections and isolations, and all things related to COVID-19 and other emerging diseases. I design and implement decision support panels (our CMIO calls them "wizard panels") which streamline the ordering process for COVID-19, GI Lab, Blood Cultures, and C. diff treatment.
