A Utah native, Shane Herbert started his real estate career in Park City in 2005. After years of service at Nordstrom and other retail environments that put a premium on customer service, it was a natural pivot to return home and begin helping people buy and sell their homes. “It’s about more than just listening to people,” he says. “True service comes from getting to know them. Hearing past what they say they want to what you know will ultimately make them the happiest.” Over the course of the next 17 years, he would rise to become the #1 real estate agent in the state of Utah and take his place among the top performing agents in the country. Shane spent three years at Keller Williams in Park City, building a sterling reputation for service rooted in giving his clients sound and trustworthy advice. “Buying a home is a big decision—the biggest decision many will people make in their lives,” he says. “I’ve never taken that trust lightly.” Shane moved to Summit Sotheby’s International Realty in 2009, surrounding himself as much as possible with people who shared his perspective and his commitment to doing right by his clients. He quickly became Summit’s top agent. Four years later, in 2013, with the help and support of his team, he launched Shane Herbert Real Estate, a boutique firm within Summit Sotheby’s International Realty. Shane became the listing agent for Montage Residences Deer Valley, opening up new opportunities in the Park City market. “This period really changed my whole trajectory,” he says. “Within a short period of time, I was the listing agent for multiple developments in Park City, and I was soon getting involved in planning, operations, and sales on a scale I never had before.” Owing to his outstanding performance, he was named Ohana’s VP of Sales in 2018, overseeing all sales and assisting in restructuring the strategic direction of the company’s real estate holdings in the Western US and Mexico.“It was an incredible experience. It taught me how to budget, how to manage different P&Ls, how to build culture, and work with multiple teams.
