Led a team of experts and advised senior leaders on threats targeting U.S. Navy technology, personnel, and facilities across the Continental United States. Pioneered U.S. Navy efforts to identify and mitigate threats posed by foreign adversaries within the United States and U.S. installations abroad. Routinely coordinate efforts with Naval Criminal Investigative Service and other Interagency partners to counter insider threats within the Department of the Navy.

Served in the U.S. Defense Attaché Office, US Embassy, Kyiv, Ukraine, represented the U.S. Navy, the Department of Defense, and the United States as a naval attaché to Ukraine. Extensive experience working with a partner navy and other armed forces, coordinating U.S. Navy visits, exercises, and operational activity with host nation, and advising US leaders on local and regional maritime and military capabilities and developments.

Provided intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance and collection management support to elements of Naval Special Warfare in the Horn of Africa and the Middle East. Pioneered a first-of-its-kind analytic exchange program between U.S. Special Operations Forces and a host nation military intelligence service in East Africa.

Led a team of government civilian, contractor, and military intelligence analysts who provided critical daily intelligence support to the Commander of U.S. Central Command, as well as the Commander of the International Security & Assistance Force in Kabul, Afghanistan. Led intelligence analysis efforts focused on the Taliban and other violent extremist organizations during two deployments to the Combined Joint Intelligence Operations Center in Kabul.

Achieved conversational-level proficiency in Azerbaijani and Russian while earning a Masters Degree in International Relations (in Azerbaijani) at the University of Foreign Languages in Baku. Established lasting relationships with the U.S. Interagency through routine engagements at the U.S. Embassy. Strengthened interpersonal and cross-cultural skills through immersion with our Azerbaijani hosts and other international students.
