Responsible for all aspects of Biomedical Engineering services for 5 sites across the Temple University Health System. This includes staffing, payroll, fiscal year departmental budget preparation, Joint Commission and DOH compliance, and a comprehensive overview of the medical equipment management plan. Play key role in evaluating, recommending, purchasing, installing, and maintaining medical equipment systems for the Health System. Present regular reports on Biomedical Engineering department efficacy to Environment of Care Committee and Patient Safety Committee. Managed installation of Lifecare PCA III pumps with Mednet wireless application software at two campuses. Managed three phase Philips ICU monitor installation at TUH. Managed TUH installation of 650 Hospira Symbiq wireless infusion pumps with Mednet software. Administer $7.5 million annual equipment service contract with Siemens. Negotiated a contract extension in 2010 with savings of 10% annually. Chosen to be part of the TUH Mentor/Coach program. Mentor Coaches facilitate groups of 10-12 managers that drive Employee engagement and foster cross departmental understanding and problem solving. Also chosen to be part of Employee Activities Committee which coordinates employee involvement in programs at TUH and in the outside community.

Responsible for repairing and maintaining all biomedical equipment within the hospital, specifically Valley Lab Electrosurgical Units, Nellcor N595 SPO2 monitors, Datascope Passport 2 Monitors, Philips Viridia Monitors, Philips RF telemetry monitors, Medtronic Pacemakers, Hospira Plum Family devices, PCA Family devices and Gemstar devices. On call after regular work hours to respond to emergency situations related to biomedical equipment. Oversaw May 2001 installation of 550 Hospira Plum Family infusion devices; have achieved over 95% completion of Preventative Maintenance for 6 years.
