Project - Diamantina Power Station, Mount Isa. Queensland. Project Value: $400M Civil Contract Value: $50MHaving initially been employed as Project Engineer on this project, I was promoted to the role of Project Manager for the civil works on this mission critical infrastructure project.This project involved the construction of a gas fuelled 420MW power station to provide power to XStrata Mount Isa Mines as well as north-west Queensland generally. Rundle Place Retail and Office Development, Adelaide. Value $175 - 200M. June 2011 - August 2012This project involved the construction of a 15 Storey Retail and Office Development on a city centre site. The structure mainly comprises post tensioned concrete beams supporting reinforced concrete slabs at each level, supported on RC walls and columns. The external envelope consists of precast concrete panels and glazed curtain walling.As site engineer my role involved;Liasing with the design team Architects, Structural and MEP Engineers regarding design and construction issues and construction methodologiesDealing with RFI's and queries from sub contractors, Carrying out inspections of the works,Preparing scopes of work for subcontractsAssisting site managers in organisation of site set up particularly in terms of crane locations, heavy load zones etc...SA Super Schools PPP, Adelaide. Value: $200M. July 2010 - June 2011This project involved the construction of 6 schools using primarily structural steel and SUPALOC frames. My involvement in each of these schools was in the later stages and primarily involved;Monitoring, coordination and obtaining consultant and contractor sign off on Mechanical and Electrical systems.Monitoring the works on site, helping deal with any issues or queries that the subcontractors had.Chairing meetings with subcontractors and client representativesMonitoring progress of the works against programme to completion and commissioningFacilitating demonstrations of completed systems, Defecting the finished worksPreparation of O&M Manuals, handover documents and QA.
