Active Attorney of the Iowa State Bar since Admission in 2003. I started my legal career with Nationwide Insurance in subrogation, later transitioning to claims litigation division, where I ultimate moved into management. While I enjoyed and am grateful for my time and experience with Nationwide, I transitioned into the private practice of law. I have been blessed to have been acting as an attorney and advocate for over a thousand clients. I have had the opportunity to practice in several areas of law, including Criminal, Family, Adoption, Appeals, Personal Injury, Workers Compensation Rights, Mental Health, Juvenile Court, Whistleblower, and many other general civil litigation issues/cases. While the issues and circumstances of the cases I've been involved with have differed, I have found in this profession that the one constant is the necessity to ensure a healthy attorney client-relationship. At the end of the day, I have yet to have someone contact me seeking legal counsel because their life is perfect. In this profession, I have the daily opportunity to meet people in the middle of challenging life circumstances. I have the honor and privilege to not only advocate for them, but to walk along side with throughout the process. In the end, I've found my tenure in this profession has provided great value and reward.
