Assisted Professor Thomas Baumgartner in his laboratory by synthesizing several phosphorous-containing compounds to be used as a form of litmus test to determine the strength of various Lewis acids during the summer of 2019. Time spent during my internship here has fueled my passion for laboratory work and seeking a career in this industry. My tenure at Special Olympics Ontario (SOO) and current part-time work have assisted me in organizational planning, time and project management, building strong ethical work habits, and interpersonal skills. The exceptional staff, volunteers, and athletes that make up the organization have made SOO my charity of choice.
