I specialize in UWB, somewhat electrically small antennas, and passive RF devices.My work at Poynting antennas starts with receiving design specifications for an RF device, such as frequency of operation, gain, VSWR, beam width, and available space. Then I look at possible designs that could meet the specification and prototype them using CEM software. Once the prototype is constructed, I test the performance (VSWR, gain, and radiation patterns) in our anechoic chamber and have a performance review where it is decided whether or not to move on with the prototype or redesign.When the model has been approved and reviewed, we help with documentation for industrialization, quality assurance, and customer data sheets.When the production samples of the antenna arrive, they are retested to ensure they can be industrialized consistently and meet the desired specifications.
