I'm a director at Glenfield Engineering since July 2015. Prior to that my main role was as Purchasing Manager. With over 32 years’ experience in the engineering industry, I have worked within a variety of fields, specializing in Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Pharmaceuticals, and have managed budgets to the value of 3 Million Euros. I am highly motivated and use my communication and negotiation skills to build strong and sustainable supplier and customer relationships as part of ensuring a smooth supply chain. My attention to detail makes for cost-conscious contracts that are delivered on time, on budget and to the expected level of quality.My commitment to quality has led to my heading up additional internal programs of work such as implementation of time management and electronic document solutions. My professionalism, along with the pressures and challenges that working in contract engineering can bring, have armed me with the skills and ability to excellently manage stressful and time-pressured situations when they arise.I am a strong and open people manager and coach, encouraging personnel to deliver on time, on budget and to the expected level of quality.
