Responsible for Amcom’s Finance and Billing functions. Leading a team of 27 staff to perform financial/management reporting, tax (corporate, FBT, indirect), accounts payable, billing, credit control and payroll.Selected achievements:• Building a high performing team – achieved through engaging and motivating staff. This change has enabled the large volume of system and process change within the Finance team.• Finance cost savings – achieved through automating processes, negotiating lower supplier costs, simplifying the finance landscape, identifying tax savings and re-negotiating bank facilities.• Automated budget process – implemented the “Prophix” budget management system. • Automated expense processing – implemented a cloud-based, paperless, self-service expense processing system. • Simplified and standardised cost centre and account structures – which enabled improved management reporting, greater accountability and lower reporting lead times.• Systemised and automated financial consolidation.• Shortening key reporting timeframes – through systemising and automating key finance functions report preparation time of the 4D, 4E and AR.• Cash/Debt management – negotiating and implementing a range of debt facilities to enable significant network investment across the Amcom product range.• Integration of Acquisitions – successful day 1 integration of the finance and billing functions for two acquisitions. Including full day 1 migration of the acquired organisations general ledger and billing systems into Amcom’s existing systems.
