Pacific NW Business Unit Leader for Moffat & Nichol based in the Seattle, WA Office. I have over 30 years of consulting engineering experience, licensed professional civil engineer, and an ASCE Board Certified Civil Engineer in Coastal and Ports Engineering. Experience includes planning and engineering design of projects located on inland waterways, lakes, rivers and coastal environments including navigation, flood control, ecosystem restoration, marine terminals, renewable energy, small craft harbors, and shoreline stabilization improvements. Have completed over 350 planning studies and engineering designs for water resources and coastal projects in 10 states and 6 countries. My professional consulting experience has allowed me to develop skills in organizing and leading large, diverse groups of scientists, planners, engineers, regulatory compliance, and architects on complex multi-disciplinary water resource planning studies, engineering design and construction projects. I have developed unique capabilities to integrate planning skills and techniques with an understanding of complex hydrodynamic processes, engineering design and construction risk assessments that are valuable for navigating the complex environment of implementing water resources type project work. Finished a master’s degree in infrastructure planning and management with a goal to utilize my skills and broad engineering knowledge in a larger, bigger picture manner to help shape our future communities and public infrastructure systems. This includes resiliency and risk management planning for infrastructure related to water resources (water management, flooding, erosion, tsunami, ecosystem habitat and processes, environmental remediation, waterfront infrastructure).
