As the Head of Finance and Administration for The Big Game Parks of Swaziland, I was responsible for keeping three individual, private (i.e. non government funded) conservation areas financially stable and self-sustainable while working in a fast-paced, unstructured, highly varied and often stressful environment. The scope of my responsibilities extended over all matters of a financial nature including but not limited to: stock control and management; POS systems revenue security, cash-flow management; salaries and wages; creditors payments; preparation of departmental and organisational budgets; monthly management accounts; production of Annual Financial Statements; VAT and income tax submissions; compliance with the Swaziland regulatory environment; etc.
