Responsibilities: ITQ Business Solutions grew from being a start-up company of about 20 employees, to a group of 5 subsidiary companies with an existing staff compliment in excess of 350, including learners (2014 - 2016). As such a need was identified to align all companies to be compliant with all relevant legislation. I was tasked as HR Manager with the added responsibility to ensure all 5 companies comply with the following legislation: Employment Equity compliance (appointed as the Section 24 Manager for the group) Skills Development compliance (appointed as Associate SDF for the group) Health & Safety compliance (appointed as the Section 16.2 Assistant to the CEO for the group) Temporary Employment Services compliance (for the group) BBBEE compliance (Employment Equity and Skills Development element only) Labour Relations compliance (for the group) System integration and maintenance (Payroll and HRIS for the group)

ITQ Business Solution’s Human Resources was non-existent. Given my experience working at the Department of Labour in the industrial relations department earlier in my career I suggested we start up an HR department. At that point in time we had a staff compliment of about 20 employees. I was subsequently appointed as HR Manager, retaining my position as Training Manager. I was responsible for the following: Training Salary reviews Employment Contracts Recruitment General office management and admin Time recording General staff issues (grievances, disciplinary hearings) Employment Equity BBBEE (high level – submission of data to Group) Maintenance of ITQ’s website Invoicing Reports Advisor to Directors on all HR related issues Manage HR Administrators

Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Keytax system – an interface between Liberty claims department and SARS for tax directives. Development work was done using ASP and VB Scripting. At the completion of this project I was asked if I would be interested in doing training on the Mindkey Workflow product developed for all our major clients which included corporate companies such as Liberty, Stanlib, GIPF – Namibia, Old Mutual - Kenya.
