2013-2015 Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Hull Division Production Officer Norfolk, VA E8/HTCS. Managed 183 employees conducting life cycle maintenance and intermediate level repairs to surface ships at Naval Station Norfolk, VA. Directed employees in the performance of Hull structural, piping, and sheet metal corrective maintenance to 35 locally based ships supporting Class Maintenance Plans during CMAV and CNO availabilities. Directly coordinated with Ship’s Force personnel developing a successful plan to complete each ship’s Class Maintenance Plan package for individual availabilities. Under my direct supervision, Hull Division conducted over 6.2 million dollars of repair work annually. Implemented a new training program which qualified 40 new welders/brazers, while managing the proficiency of a total 90 welders/brazers expanding MARMC’s overall capabilities and improving work processes realizing a cost savings of 14,000 dollars per quarter for fiscal year 2015. Developed training curriculum and instructed employees on the following Quality Assurance and fabrication documents: Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual, Mil-STD-248, Mil-STD-278, Mil-STD-1689, WP278, WP1689, 074 VOL1 and VOL3. Developed and applied new processes to address hot work and gas free certification shortfalls improving production efficiency by 10%. Certified as Quality Assurance Craftsman, Quality Assurance Inspector, and Quality Assurance Supervisor for all classes of Naval Ships. Qualified to weld CFE, CrMo, CRES, NiCu, CuNi, Inconnel, and Aluminum as a NEC 4955 coded welder.
