About Shane Stocking
As a funeral director, empathy is one of the largest part of the service provided. As an embalmer and cosmetology skills, it is the greatest compliment to hear "they look just like they are sleeping". I had previously worked for the same employer for just under 18 years. This, I believe, shows my loyalty, dedication and reliability for my employer. When I was working as a phone tech support agent, I enjoyed practicing a 5-step troubleshooting approach to get to a resolution effectively and efficiently. I learned most of my customer service soft skills by listening to how my neighbors interacted with their clients, and incorporated those that I saw had the best affect. I took those and made them my own, making minor adjustments to better fit my personality and style. When I became Team Leader, I had taken many bottom performing agents and turned them around to become excellent agents; by helping them to understand 5-step troubleshooting, often told that no one has been able to help them see the reason behind the steps. How to increase soft skills by allowing them to self-diagnose where their strength and weaknesses were, and then providing examples of how I approached things and then helped them to rework it to make it their own to fit their personality. I have helped agents decrease their handle times more than half their current averages. I have helped agents increase customer satisfaction from 40% to 90%.
