Operations Manager
As Operations Administrator, I was a results-driven office manager with a proven track record of successfully managing diverse administrative functions. I oversaw insurance processes, ensured accurate payroll management, assisted in negotiating contracts, spearheaded hiring initiatives and while meticulous QuickBook entries. I maintained strong attention to detail, organizational prowess, and the ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. I am proficient in various software applications, including QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR management systems.
Membership And Events Manager
As the overall coordinator for member services, I implemented public programs designed to deepen the community’s interest in and commitment to land conservation while increasing the number of individuals making financial contributions to the organization. Through this position I was responsible for year-round management of membership fundraising, including through direct-mail and online appeals as well as the coordination of two major annual development events. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic these events were condensed into a single virtual event that premiered on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
Annual Giving Manager
As the Annual Giving Manager at Historic Huguenot Street, I served as the chief fundraising officer for the National Historic District. While my specific duties varied, they centered around increasing revenue for the institution across its many development and programming efforts. I worked closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to implement the overall fundraising strategy. The three primary components of the Annual Giving Manager position included overseeing all direct-mail and email campaigns, serving as the major gifts officer, and managing the organization's two fundraising events - a smaller spring benefit and a fall gala. The direct-mail campaigns included a membership drive, a spring preservation campaign, and the year-end appeal. These would each go out to several thousand individuals. As the organization's major gifts officer, I stewarded nearly 100 donors from Albany to New York City. These donors formed the backbone of the organization's leadership donors. Duties included regular correspondence with these donors, coordinating meetings between the Executive Director and Board President, and routine solicitation of annual gifts to the National Historic Site. As the event manager, I oversaw the implementation of Historic Huguenot Street's two fundraising events - the Spring Celebration and the Fall Harvest Celebration. Duties would include managing all event operations to recruiting event sponsorships. I worked in close partnership with the Board President and Executive Director. Outside of direct fundraising, I worked with programming staff to expand the historic site's audience and ensure that guest experience associates accurately collected visitor data. We would later use this data in grant applications and to help recruit new members and donors.
Board Member
I serve on the board of the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail (WVRTA). The WVRTA is mix-use trail that extends over 20 miles from the city of Kingston to the town of Wallkill. The trail, which is open free to the public 365 days a year, caters to walkers, runners, bikers, and equestrians as well as those into snowshoing and cross country skiing during the winter months. The WVRTA is a completely volunteer organization tasked with maintaining the trail, and the open land around it, in peak condition for the public. As chair of the fundraising committee, I work with fellow board members to create and implement a development strategy to successfully raise the funds needed to complete all needed repairs to the trail. Additional duties include crafting the annual budget for the organization, integrating fundraising plans with the communication plan, and syncing budgeting and funding plans with local and county-level government support.
Grants Manager / Development Officer
As Historic Huguenot Street's Grant Manager, my duties focused on rebuilding the organization's grants program. In doing so, I was able to lead the organization to one of its most successful years for grant funding in its more than 100 year history. By years-end Historic Huguenot Street had raised more than $100,000 in grant-funds for many of its public programs, educational events, and for the organizations operations. My daily duties included grant research, writing, and monitoring received grants. This job also included cross-department collaboration for writing grants, and implementing grant projects as well as working with the organization's bookkeeper to track the grant expenses in QuickBooks.
