Responsible for the management of the Engineering and Test Lab departments reporting to the VP of Engineering and Operations. Responsible for the design and performance of new and existing product. Working in conjunction with R&D engineers to develop long term projects. Develop and oversee new and existing product improvement projects including timeline, prototype development, manufacturability reviews, lab and field testing, executive design reviews and coordination of release to production. Utilizing Pro-Engineer Creo 4.0 for solid modeling and drawing creation, Pro-Mechanica for finite element analysis, Epicor ERP software for bill of material, costing and inventory management. Responsible for test lab equipment which includes test frame design, the use and maintenance of hydraulic actuators and load cells and MTS software to perform static and fatigue testing on new and current product. Responsible for test lab scopes, documenting testing results and implementing test plans to ensure product performance and safety. Experienced in the use of Agile Project Management techniques to delegate tasks and complete projects in an efficient manner. Assists with technical support for customer service and warranty departments. Assists quality department with approval of supplier parts and internal audits. Working closely with the manufacturing facility with design for manufacturing, DFMEA and PFMEA reviews. Communicates with customers for Voice of the Customer input and suppliers for design and manufacturing issues on a regular basis.

Duties include: CAE, solid modelling and drawing creation using Pro-E Creo, verifying parts using 'Faro Arm' CMM, Finite Element Analysis to optimize, evaluate and critique designs in order to minimize prototype and test iterations. Create project schedules,perform DFMEA, VA-VE, cost analysis, obtain quotes, create detailed project reports, conduct design reviews and executive management reviews.
