Built and maintained React web apps on AWS infrastructure that serve millions of unique users in 11 languages. These apps are backed by an automated pipeline that deploys to the edge in 25+regions around the world. Each region consists of both a pre-production and production stage, both of which are covered by a suite of integration tests that run with every deployment, as well as end-to-end tests that run every minute 24/7 and report their data in real time to a unified internal ops dashboard (which I also built). All of this is managed by CDK (infrastructure as code). The end result is a fast, reliable, and accessible experience for our customers, and an ops workflow that makes our team's lives easier.I'm very involved with hiring (I've conducted over 100 interviews here) and helping newer engineers grow.

Managed, and was the primary contributor to, a large React app that is the company’s core product. Implemented core app architecture, data fetching/caching, and UI components.As product manager, worked closely with company stakeholders and other developers to implement successful features from conception to launch.Reduced the app’s initial bundle size by 83%, and implemented code splitting and asset preloading to further improve perceived loading times.Created and maintained the design system and component library used throughout the app. This resulted in a significantly faster feature release rate (~33% reduction in average feature development time), improved app stability (eliminated errors related to rendering UI components), and a more consistent user experience.Led a team responsible for creating a chat support application that’s embedded in our customers’ websites. In two months, this became the company’s most profitable feature (37% of active subscriptions). My development work included both front end engineering and Node.js microservices.

As an independent contractor, I successfully shipped 60+ projects/sites to production, with various teams and organizations. Responsibilities spanned all levels of project lifecycle: development, design, UX, client interfacing, proposals, estimates, etc. I was awarded Employee of the Month for 8 consecutive years.
