I was a Television editor over 22 years. Starting in 1992 editing for the New Zealand Racing Board (TAB) when they first moved into running their own Broadcast Channel.Their Studio was based at Avalon Television Studios & the editing suites & post production facilities based in the NZRB H/O Petone.Edit Suites were Linear Suites, and as technologies changed so did the suites, moving with those changes was both challenging & rewarding. Systems & software used over those years ranged from Grass Valley vision mixer, Pinnacle Aladdin, 844X, Final Cut, Premier Pro, Motion, Soundscape, Photoshop, Soundtrack Pro, Colour and After EffectsCommunication was paramount when working with producers & directors to know what they required, be it a show, promo, TVC etc, and be able to meet those requirements in a timely & professional manner makes me a versatile and adaptable Editor. I tend to work well under pressure, enjoyed working in a team environment and like to be involved with all aspects of television production. I feel I would be a strong & valuable member of any Production Team.
