Eurologic was an OEM supplier of network storage devices. With revenues of approx US$500m in 2001 Eurologic was Ireland largest indigenous technology company. OEM customers included Dell, Avid, Cisco and Seimens. Acquired by Adaptec in 2003.Responsibilities included:• System architecture design and development of embedded real time firmware for RAID storage management and control systems, running on fibre channel, SCSI and SATA systems.• Developing firmware and hardware from specification through to prototype and release.• Technical liaison with OEM customers during development of new RAID systems.

Analog Devices is a Nasdaq listed IC design and manufacturer, the facility in Limerick employed 1200 people and had a state of the art wafer fabrication facility. This role was a highly specialised technical production role in the clean room fabrication facility to sustain wafer fabrication to meet production targets.

ESB (Electricity Supply Board) is a semi state owned utility supplying Ireland's electricity supply.This apprenticeship was a 4 year training program concentrating on High Voltage installation and maintenance in the electrical transmission industry. Having completed the apprenticeship I decided to continue my education at WIT.
