Mentor new-to-site employees.• Perform line walking and punch listing before final handover to client.• Read drawings, work orders, and production schedules to determine job instructions and specifications.• Flange Management, inspection and torqueing of flanged joints up to Cl 2500.• Fabricate, test and install carbon and stainless steel pipe spools.• Direct riggers in the lifting of pipes and valves to ensure accuracy and safety.• Work team leader responsibilities, writing and holding permits, verifying mechanical isolations are correct.• Check that spool pieces are set up and aligned accurately for welding.• Meet tight project deadlines through effective workflow management.• Comply with OHS procedures, PPE requirements, and company safety instructions. Special Class Welder – Santos LNG Project (Roma) • Carried out welding of heavy wall stainless steel and carbon steel pipes using GTAW and MMAW techniques. • Fabricated and welded pipe shoes and supports.• Performed pipe-fitting of carbon and stainless steel pipes ranging from 2” to 24” and schedule 10-160.• Used pneumatic pipe bevelling machines.• Used complete PPE and complied with safe work methods and OHS regulations. Carried out JHAs and prestarts.
