An experienced international and transformational leader in Risk and Assurance, Shane has been responsible for the establishment, transformation and improvement of functions in some of the largest multi-national companies. With an education in Law, Risk Management, Finance and Business Management, coupled with a career spanning 21 years, his diverse experience and business insight give him a unique edge to adapt and excel in challenging roles, and effectively communicate and connect across operational and strategic levels, including board and audit committee members.Currently responsible for Risk Management in one of the largest Payment Service Providers, Shane is responsible for establishing risk and control frameworks to ensure that all strategic, operation, financial and compliance risks are effectively understood and controlled across the organization. Prior to this role Shane led the Group Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function within VEON, responsible for the holistic management of enterprise wide risk across some of the most complex and demanding environments in the industry. Prior roles also included overall strategic and operational leadership of the Assurance & Fraud Shared Service Hub (SSH) within MTN Group across the 22 operating companies, Revenue Management & Assurance at Indonesia's 2nd largest operator Indosat Ooredoo (80 million customers), Group Risk Management & Revenue Assurance at Ooredoo Group (across 10 Operating Companies), Revenue Assurance & Fraud Management Best Practices at MTN Group (across 22 Operating Companies) and end-to-end Business Risk at Digicel Asia Pacific Group (across 6 Operating Companies).Shane has also previously served the Telecommunications industry as the Chair of the GSMA Africa Fraud Forum, where he led and facilitated the collaborative efforts in combatting fraud within Telecoms across the African continent.
