• Managed backup and recovery for systems utilizing ARCServe, Omniback, Netbackup and TSM on several global customer accounts to ensure smooth recovery when needed. Had 98% backup success rate on all systems.• Participated in several disaster recovery tests for clients to verify current procedures and make enhancements when necessary. Performed actual disaster recovery after Texas hurricane and completely restored systems in alternate location so customer could continue production.• Documented procedures for backup and recovery on different backup applications to allow seamless transition to new employees and audit readiness. • Cross-trained co-workers on backup and recovery for ArcServe and NetBackup DLO to expand knowledge base of team and diversify support provided.• Performed application upgrades and applied security patches to ensure stable backup system and ran backup and recovery tests to confirm data integrity.• Eliminated use of OmniBack backup software and migrated systems to TSM platform to reduce administration and conform to corporate standards.• Provided on-call support for 24x7 coverage of customer account. • Supported MS Windows Server 2003/2000/NT and HPUX/SUN/AIX server environment to provide stable networking environment for the customer. Troubleshooted server operating system, hardware, network and application issues to resolve problems in timely fashion.• Provided backup administration support of server environment to ensure nightly backups were performed successfully and promptly restored user data when required. Restored data to alternate server during critical outage and reduced downtime for customer.• Participated on team to migrate 25 HP UNIX workstations to high-end IBM Intelestations. Migration eliminated archaic UNIX workstations and allowed customer to use same tools at faster speeds on Intel platform.• Managed and tracked Intel system security patches for over 800 servers in mountain region. Analyzed each security patch for applicability and notified 25 administrators to implement patches within designated time frames based on severity and customers’ service level agreements. • Moved smaller customer site using NetWare(~150 users) into existing infrastructure by allocating disk space, assigning user groups and permissions, and creating users. This allowed smaller site to move into existing facility and continue work. Reduced cost for customer by closing smaller site.

• Provided NT server support for customer environment. Responsibilities included troubleshooting server issues, monitoring backups and providing restores when requested, user support and remote server access. Delivered 24x7 support for customer emergencies and server outages.• Migrated 8 NetWare servers to new Windows NT servers to maintain more stable networking environment with improved security. This resulted in greater customer satisfaction on reliability and speed of new environment.

• Performed as team lead for operations group to monitor performance and direct group to meet company goals and objectives, resolve issues and focus on current project status.• Provided network administration and support for 750 PC customers on Novell 3.11, 3.12 and 4.11. Collaborated with customer to resolve networking, permission, disk space and application issues in a timely fashion.• Implemented 3 new NetWare 4.11 servers and migrated data from old hardware and old NetWare 3.11 and 3.12 operating systems. This allowed for a more stable environment for customer and reduced downtime that was being experienced on archaic hardware.
