My role at Glumac was Project Manager and Mechanical Engineer. My responsibilities varied from managing over a dozen active projects to providing mechanical engineering consulting and business development to bring the company new revenue. As a Project Manager I have a track record of providing quality deliverables and gaining repeat business from clients. As a Mechanical Engineer I leveraged my strong technical expertise in building design and optimization to inject sustainability into projects. I creatively developed solutions that increase energy, water and waste efficiency, as well as promote social equity, while working within the financial and technical constraints of the project.Project Management Responsibilities-Managed internal team of engineers and coordinating with other consultants to meet deadlines-Responsible for cost management, schedule, codes/standards and technical performance-Mentored younger engineers -Provided QA/AC of drawings -Responded to RFPs through proposals with scope and fees-Communicated with Architects and Owners to keep them informed of progress and work to meet their goals of deadlines, cost, and quality- Managed projects from concept phase through construction administration.Mechanical Engineering Responsibilities-Provided comprehensive HVAC design on a variety of airside and hydronic systems. Central plant designs ranged from small package units to 1,200 Ton Central cooling plants.-Worked with clients to provide mechanical system best suited for the project and their needs.-Analyzed the energy performance of proposed systems to provide energy compliant and code compliant systems.A Few Accomplishments:- Provided mechanical design, project management, and creative solutions for approx. 1.5 Million square feet of commercial, institutional and education sectors- Was in the top quartile of revenue under my Project Management in the company- Contributed to design of 1st Net Zero Energy university building on campus

Engineering Design Initiative is a consulting firm focused on sustainable design, HVAC, energy and the environment. EDI offers full service design, modeling and commissioning services supporting the mechanical, electrical disciplines. During my time at EDI, I have enriched my knowledge of the industry to encompass a wide variety of public and private sector projects in all stages of the design process, including commissioning, energy modeling and analysis. No two projects have been the same making me equipped to handle a variety of client needs, systems, and building types.EDI provides superior customer service coupled with sound engineering, and great interpersonal skills with owners and other disciplines. Striving to meet owner requirements, design constraints, budgets, and sustainable design. Since my start at I have improved the way in which our company conducts its design process which has resulted in reduced construction administration issues and change orders. I have also continued my education through ASHRAE courses and a multitude of seminars and courses on best practices to keeping up with current industry trends.Key Accomplishments:- Aided and designed the mechanical systems for over $40 million dollars worth of construction projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.- Successfully balanced multiple projects with varying design criteria while meeting owner demands and tight budgets.- Implemented a variety of systems including chilled water, boiler plants, variable refrigerant flow systems and large geothermal water to water heat pump systems.

Implemented advanced computational modeling in conjunction with a research group to develop a framework that will measure the efficiencies of various organic solar cell morphologies. Calculated and analyzed sensitivity of certain parameters to the overall morphology and efficiency of organic solar cells.

As a product design intern, I designed, built, and modified many new and existing parts for current production aerial trucks. Executed cost saving changes that saved $10,000 in annual manufacturing costs. Worked with lead engineer on testing a pre-production aerial truck for component failure.
