Shane O’Brien has established himself as a key player in the New Zealand rural real estate profession over the past two decades. He has extensive networks across New Zealand and Australia and is highly regarded in the profession. Before establishing Colliers Rural and Agribusiness in New Zealand in 2014 and taking on the role of National Director, Shane was a shareholder and Managing Director of another large rural real estate player in the New Zealand market for eleven years. He also established and is a Director of Northington AgriCapital Limited, New Zealand's only Rural Investment Bank with a Real Estate License under REAA 2008, offering acquisitions, divestment and advisory capabilities to the rural investment sector. His contribution to the industry was acknowledged in 2008 when Shane was made a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute of NZ.
